Montecito Inn

by William Galzerano

Jim Beam and water makes me think.

By the end of the evening I should surely stink.

The chatter and clatter, the noise of the bar,

God, I can’t find my keys,

Where the hell is my car.

When this night is over and I can no longer stand.

Make me sleep so sweet,

That when I wake I feel like a brand new man.

The waitress turned out to be a really nice lady.

Pretty as Britney, not as shady.

I hoped she comes back one more time.

She is so busy, she is so kind.

The Montecito Inn is my favorite place

Though when I leave here,

I will fall flat on my face.
